Australian University Sport (AUS) has allocated the Rowing Australia National Underage Selectors the responsibility of selecting crews and coaches to represent Australia at the 2018 World University Championships in Shanghai, China.

• Senior Nominated Athletes and Coaches : Friday 9th March 2018

• Under 23 and Under 21 Nominated Athletes and Coaches : Friday 13th March 2018

REGATTA INFORMATION: WORLD UNIVERSITY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Location: Shanghai, China

Regatta dates: 10-12 August 2018

Regatta events: M1x, M2x, M2-, M4-, M8+, LM1x, LM2x, LM4- W1x, W2x, W2- , W4-, W8+, LW1x, LW2x, LW4-

Athlete Eligibility: To be eligible, competitors must meet both the RA Nomination and Eligibility Requirements, available from the RA website, and the AUS eligibility requirements set out on the AUS website.

These include that athletes must:

• Be Australian citizens, at least 17, and less than 25 years of age as at 1st January in the year of the event. ie: be born between 1 January 1993 and 31 December 2000.

• Be proceeding towards a diploma or higher at either an Australian or overseas university, TAFE or recognised institution

or

• Have graduated from one of the above institutions in the year prior to the competition (i.e. given the event is on 10 August 2018, then the student must have graduated after 10 August 2017).
