Event information

This event has passed.

As currently publicised, Rowing Victoria invites your Club Committee members to attend an important in-person training session about the new integrity framework and complaint process that came into effect from 1 July 2022. The session will be run by Rowing Australia (RA) as part of a national education program in conjunction with Paddle Australia and Australian Dragon Boat Federation. The presenter will be Liam Bourke, RA’s new National Integrity Manager.

We strongly encourage at least one relevant representative (e.g. President, Vice-President, Secretary, Member Protection Information Officer, School Rowing Coordinator) to attend on behalf of your Club – and strongly encourage multiple representatives to attend if possible.

Please register your Club/School’s attendees via this ONLINE FORM.

Purpose

The session aims to build on previous updates about the National Integrity Framework (NIF), with the important focus of what it means for your Club/School.

The session will provide further background to the NIF, including the type of conduct dealt with under each policy, with a particular focus on the complaint-handling process – and practical advice about what to do when issues arise.  The session is also an opportunity to have your questions answered directly.

Support and Resources

RA and RV is committed to equipping Club/Schools with the knowledge and resources to understand and navigate these changes.  We encourage you to familiarise yourselves with the new policies and complaints procedure via the:
