As we did not meet our Constitution’s requirements for a quorum at the 147th Annual General Meeting held on the 29th of October 2023, the meeting has been officially adjourned to Thursday, the 30th of November 2023.  The adjourned meeting will be held at Power House Rowing Club, 164 Alexandra Avenue, Toorak, commencing at 6:00pm. To facilitate attendance, members may join the meeting in person or on-line.

 

The ordinary business of the Adjourned 2023 Annual General Meeting is the same as the Annual General Meeting. That is, to:

 

• Confirm the minutes of the previous annual general meeting;
• Receive from the Board reports on the activities of RV during the 2022-23 financial year;
• Receive and note reports o the financial affairs of RV during the 2022-2023 financial year and approve the statement on financial and associated matters required to be submitted by RV in accordance with the Act;
• Approve the 2022-2023 Annual Report of RV;
• Elect Directors of RV;
• Consider any other matters required by these provisions or the rules of RV to be dealt with at an Annual General Meeting; and
• Discuss and provide advice to the Board on any matters affecting the promotion, management, and control of rowing.

The Adhourned General Meeting will also seek to ratify the proposed increase in Rowing Australia Affiliation Fees for next year, FY 2023/24. If your RV delegate is unable to attend this meeting, a proxy can be nominated using the attached form. A form appointing a proxy must be given the Chairperson of the meeting before or at the commencement of this meeting. If sent by post or electronically, it must be received by RV no later than 24 hours before the commencement of the meeting.
