Pathway 8+ State Team Training Day
When: Sunday 13th December 2020
Where: Boathouse Drive, Yarra River
Time: 8 am - 3 pm
Cost: Free
Who: Athletes are eligible to compete in the Victorian Pathway 8+ program if they are 17 or younger as at December 31st, 2021. This means they must have been born in 2004 or later.

The Victorian Pathway Program aims to provide talented Victorian Rowers, Coxswains and Coaches an opportunity to work with the best. The program is designed to provide athletes the opportunity to continue in the sport after school through to Club, State and National level. Through this pathway competition the athletes will gain valuable experience competing against the best in the country. It is a chance to experience the national rowing selection process, compete against their school counterparts from around the country, to work with high-level coaches & support staff and encourage school rowers to make the next step in their rowing pathway. Athletes will also be given the chance to meet and work with members of the Australian Rowing Team including athletes, physiotherapists, team doctors and coaches, both past and present.
The Pathway Eight competition is an Interstate schoolboy/schoolgirl regatta held annually at Australian underage selection trials in April. In 2021, this event will be held at Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra. This offers current school registered athletes the opportunity to be selected in an U18 Victorian state team and gives young rowers the experience of what the future opportunities in rowing are with Club, State and Australian representation.
The following crews will be selected to be a part of the Victorian Pathway 8+ State Team for 2021.
