REGIONAL LOCKDOWN ANNOUNCED
LOCKDOWN FOR REGIONAL VICTORIA FROM 1.00PM SATURDAY 21 AUGUST
On the advice of the State’s public health team, restrictions are returning to Regional Victoria and will mimic those of Metropolitan Melbourne excluding the nightly curfew.
Relevant to our Regional and Metropolitan Community, the following applies from 1.00pm today until further notice:
- Rowing Clubs are closed; no access allowed. This means there is no access to social rooms, change rooms, boats and/ or gyms.
- Exercise is allowed for up to two hours and with one other person, limited to five kilometres from home.
- If an individual (or two) have easy access to their own scull, pair or double scull, and they comply with all remaining exercise restrictions, i.e. not traveling more than 5km from where they live and limiting exercise to no more than two hours in total, they may row for exercise.
- With the clubs being closed, the safety management plans are not activated, and insurance is not available.
Please continue to review the published exposure sites, their exposure windows, exposure Tiers and the indicated necessary action in efforts to keep the community safe.
Rowing Victoria will continue to monitor the situation and communicate with the community surrounding exposure sites and any amendments to public health advice.
