REGIONAL LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS UPDATE
LOCKDOWN EASED FOR REGIONAL VICTORIA FROM 11.59PM MONDAY 9 AUGUST
On the advice of the State’s public health team and as you are enjoying, the Lockdown restrictions for regional Victoria have been eased.
In addition to the opportunities and restrictions communicated yesterday (below), it has been confirmed, that based on a maximum number of 100 people per space at the density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm, both an indoor gym and food and drink facility (bar/ social space) can operate concurrently. The capacity of the food and drink facility is at the maximum of 100 people per space at the density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm.
The patrons of the food and drink facility/ area must be sitting down and wearing masks when not eating/ drinking.
Non-recreation/ sporting activities, e.g. Committee and general meetings (which are classified as social gatherings) are capped at 10 people.
Relevant to our Regional community, the following opportunities and restrictions will apply:
- Travel is permitted within regional Victoria with no limit on the distance you can travel
- You cannot travel to metropolitan Melbourne except for a permitted reason
- Rowing Clubs are open for all ages; training and competition. Maximum club capacity of 100 people per space indoors at the density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm (as above).
- COVID Check-in Marshals must ensure attendees check-in using the Gov’t QR Codes.
- Face masks must still be worn indoors and outdoors except when exercising, eating or drinking including when retrieving equipment/ boats. Face masks are not required on water.
- Practice good hygiene measures including washing and disinfecting shared equipment.
- Social Gatherings capped at 10 people.
Please continue to review the published exposure sites, their exposure windows, exposure Tiers and the indicated necessary action in efforts to keep the community safe.
